In 1966 David W. Pharr commissioned
the construction of this two story mid-century on his prominent Mount Washington
view parcel. Though his commitment to
his vision was costly to realize, he must have been pleased with the result:
high ceilings, clean lines, and large artistic rooms in which to enjoy the
unobstructed City views.
The current Owner has completed a
respectful update of Mr. Pharr’s three bedroom and two bath home. The new front doors open to a large entry
that leads to the dramatic living and dining rooms that share a custom wood
ceiling, the preserved original fireplace, and wonderful natural light. The master suite is large as well with its
own master bath, four closets, and private views.
The remodeled kitchen has granite
counters, new cabinetry, high end stainless appliances, and a corner breakfast
area with its own views. Downstairs
there are two bedrooms and a full bath.
The larger bedroom still has the original built-in furniture, two
closets, and a wonderful covered balcony.
Additional features include:
central air and heat, large storage areas in the basement, an oversized
two car attached garage, and a surprisingly spacious rear yard.
